Featuring the words of the Apostle Paul from 1 Corinthians 13:13, the center band of the pen is inscribed with Faith, Hope, and Love. Adding to the uniqueness of this pen is the use of wood from a felled pecan tree that was over 200 years old and stood at the center of the city of Franklin, TN. Named after one of our nation's founding father's, Benjamin Franklin, the city of Franklin was founded in October of 1799 (Wikipedia).
Approximately 5" in length this twist pen features a black ink Parker style refill available at any office supply store. The beautiful figure within the wood is created by the natural color of the tree and a condition called spalting that can be found in a dead tree or in living trees under stress. The spalting is created by fungal bacteria within the wood giving it the unique pigmentation.
