Named after the 1887 to 1891 Governor of Pennsylvania, James A. Beaver, originally Old Beaver Field and then New Beaver Field from 1909 to 1959 served as the home to the Nittany Lions until it was dismantled and moved to the northeast corner of campus and renamed Beaver Stadium. Originally made completely of wood, the stadium was reinforced with steel in the mid-1930's.
The wood in this hand-crafted pen was taken from New Beaver Field makes up the lower portion of the pen, while a team color resin upper portion makes up this unique collectors piece. Perfect for the Nittany Lion fan in your life. The wood is finished with a high friction polish to keep the natural feel of the wood, provide a glossy sheen, and prevent finger prints.
This beautiful pen and the one-of-a-kind center piece uses chrome hardware featuring football related components like a football tip, field yardage center band, football player and yard marker clip, and topped with a stadium relic cap. Color and density of seat material varies, with each pen having a unique appearance. Pens are approximately 5" long and come loaded with a replaceable Parker-style black ink medium style ballpoint.
